HIS Presence Is the Sweetest

"Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For HE HIMSELF has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV)

Sometimes, I forget just how precious and all-fulfilling GOD’s Presence truly is. I love it when GOD gently shifts my perspective and I realize that I don’t want anything at all but HIM—HIS Presence. I encourage everyone who reads this to seek GOD’s face and ask HIM to tangibly show HIMSELF to you. HE promised that if we seek HIM with all of our heart, we will find HIM (Jeremiah 29:13). HE also promised that HE will never leave or forsake us. HE is always with us. How amazing is that? Truly—what more could we want?

Imagine HIM holding your hand. Imagine resting your head on HIS shoulder. Imagine HIM placing HIS hand on your forehead or cheek with such tenderness, compassion, and love. Imagine HIM carrying you. Imagine not being in a rush—no hurry, nowhere to go—just you and the LORD, one on one. Feel the peace of that moment, the tenderness, even the quiet joy. It’s incomparable. WOW. Lately, I’ve been asking GOD to show HIMSELF to me so tangibly that all I want is HIM—and HE has been answering. I truly feel HIS Presence, and my heart is so grateful.

In those moments, I want HIM so deeply, and the most beautiful part is that I can feel HIM. I don’t have to long without hope, waiting as if HE might arrive someday. HE is already here. As much as I want HIM in that moment, HE wants me—us—even more. And so, HE shows up. Gosh. To think that we have direct access to the One and Only, true and living GOD.

I know what I’m saying isn’t new, but how easily we forget that the One and Only, true GOD lives within us. Holy moly. I can only imagine how Enoch must have felt as he walked so closely with GOD. My heart’s desire is that you, too, would experience GOD this way—not just once, but again and again. That we would be so close to HIM that we can truly feel HIM—so tangibly and so personally.

GOD bless.
