Encouraging Truths for the Good Fight of Faith
Here are a few gentle reminders I come back to when I need encouragement: 1) We’re in good company. So many people in the Bible walked through deep hardship, yet they didn’t give up on the Lord. Scripture even encourages us to look to the prophets of old and take heart. Remembering their stories reminds me that I’m not alone—and that perseverance is possible. 2) God is looking for committed hearts. “The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him” (2 Chronicles 16:9, NLT). That brings me comfort. God sees, and He strengthens. My prayer is simple: Help me, Lord. Let me be found fully committed and surrendered to You. 3) Will I still have faith? “But when the Son of Man returns, how many will He find on the earth who have faith?” (Luke 18:8, NLT).
